When ScummVM boots, it displays the launcher, just like ScummVM does on Windows. You don't need to create scummvm.ini - ScummVM will create it for you and save it to a VMU. Scummvm could not find any game windows#I can make attempts only with an old windows laptop, and tests with NullDC/Demul, nothing more for now lol I haven't received your reply yet, can you maybe sent it via pm here, or post directly here in the forum, so maybe it would be helpful to others that would make attempts too?įor now, i have tried only to use your /cd subfolder as the cd root folder, adding gamefiles in a xxx directory, specyfing that directory in the scummvm.ini file as path, and removing all the unnecessary plug-ins, with no luck yet I gave kremiso some advice on how one might go about burning a release CD from Windows, so hopefully we can get that figured out. Tsowell wrote. The README has instructions for burning a CD from the release, but unfortunately it's pretty Unix-specific. It can use an SD card for plugins, game files, save files, and configuration. If you do end up using this, I highly recommend getting an SD card adapter. ![]() The README has instructions for burning a CD from the release, but unfortunately it's pretty Unix-specific. The README has more information about it:Īnd I just put together another pre-release: It's still in a pretty early stage, but it should be basically usable. It also supports some additional peripherals like SD cards and ATA drives and can even drive an external MIDI synth. The purpose of this backend is to be a "standard" backend that works the same way the other ScummVM backends work, so if you've used ScummVM on Windows or Linux you won't be too surprised by how this one operates. I got an email from kremiso who saw my post on the ScummVM forums, and I thought I should post about it here. Sorry if this is a bother.I've been working on an unofficial alternate Dreamcast backend. Guide ScummVM to that directory you copied your files to.įor Curse of Monkey Island there is a dedicated section in README which will explain you that you will get duplicated files when you will copy to same directory. Copy all files from the CD to the directory Thank you so much for the patience and help I'm so sorry but I have NEVER done anything like this before in my life. I need a step by step book for adding games to my hardrive and formating/editing them to work. ![]()
